Sarah Peelo
Principal
Dr. Sarah Peelo joined the Albion team in 2012 and is President and a co-owner of the company. Sarah received her doctorate in Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2009, is a Registered Professional Archaeologist, and has over 15 years of experience in California archaeology. As a company Principal she is responsible for the management of company employees and finances. She oversees projects that impact colonial and postcolonial archaeological sites. She develops management plans and supervises projects, working closely with agency staff, clients, and construction personnel. She is well-versed in preservation legislation and regulations, such as NHPA and CEQA. She has broad field methodological skills ranging from landscape investigations to detailed excavation of individual features, and is an expert in documentary research and material culture studies.
